Choosing the right base for a project stay

Watford is increasingly common territory for project teams — close enough to London for client meetings, far enough out to keep accommodation costs reasonable. But not all serviced accommodation is set up for working guests. Here is what to check before you book.

Transport first

Watford Junction puts you at London Euston in under 20 minutes and connects directly to the West Coast Main Line. If your work takes you between the capital and the Midlands, it is genuinely easier than staying in central London. Cassio Road is a 15-minute walk from the station, or a short taxi ride.

For driving, the M1 and M25 are both within 10 minutes. Parking on Cassio Road is available and worth confirming at the time of booking.

Workspace that actually works

A hotel desk is a compromise. A serviced apartment gives you a proper table, enough space to spread out, and the quiet to actually concentrate. Our apartments include fast broadband, and the kitchen means you can make a proper breakfast rather than queuing in a hotel restaurant before a 7am call.

If you are on a project that runs weeks rather than days, the difference between a room and an apartment becomes significant. Laundry in-building, a full fridge, a living room where you can decompress — these are not luxuries for a long stay, they are the basics.

Billing and invoicing

We can issue invoices suitable for company expense claims. If you are booking for a team and need multiple rooms across a longer period, get in touch before booking — we can often accommodate group arrangements and will provide a clear paper trail for your finance team.

A practical checklist before you confirm

  • Confirm broadband speed (we quote at least 100 Mbps)
  • Check parking availability for your dates
  • Ask about early check-in if you have an early first meeting
  • Request an invoice template if your company requires a specific format
  • Confirm the exact distance and route to the offices or site you will be working from

A project stay works best when the logistics are sorted before you arrive, not after. We are happy to answer practical questions before you commit — use the contact form or call us directly.
